What’s in Your Marketing Funnel?

An past client of mine, whom I’ll call”Mary,” was a financial planner. She’d needed a Web site to get a few years who pretty much served as an online brochure for her. When Mary came to me, she was looking for other ways to generate profits besides working directly with clients.

Throughout our first funnel builder secrets I introduced to the MARKETING FUNNEL. If you picture a funnel, then you are aware that it’s wide and open on very best, and tiny and narrow in the end. At the top of the funnel is where you wish to get because many prospects in as possible. At the bottom of this funnel is your HIGHEST PRICED product or service. And at the midst are inbetween levels of both services/products and prices.

So as you go down the funnel, the products are priced higher and higher, and the notion is to keep people flowing from the top to the ground.

First, Get These in the Funnel
Offering something FREE could be the best way to get a lot of people in your funnel. A lot of individuals collect prospects giving away something free, like a study, an ezine, or perhaps a teleclass. If people sign up for these goodies, you obtain their names and email addresses, letting you get them again.

At the very top of Mary’s funnel was her ezine. And in the base were her pricey one-on-one services. But there wasn’t anything at the exact middle of her funnel.

I see this often with lots of solo professionals, like coaches and consultants. There’s either free or high-fee. This may be the reason why most have so much trouble converting prospects — people usually aren’t prepared to make that huge jump from $0 to a couple million bucks!

So I helped Mary brainstorm a few information services and products (“info-products”) and different programs she could quickly produce and begin to offer.

Info-Products Have Been a Wonderful Solution
By packaging your knowledge in to info-products, you give your prospects the opportunity to”sample” you at a cheap, filling the middle of one’s funnel.

Better yet, selling these products on your own Web site gives you passive income. That is, it has money to arrive mechanically. It did not necessitate your working X hours to get Y dollars. Sales will arrive from 24/7, and that you don’t even need to be there.

And remember about teleclasses or teleseminars, delivered on the phone, and on occasion even Webinars, taught over the Internet. These will require your direct involvement, but allow you to show lots of people at once. These formats enable you to make a great deal more money each hour, and so they provide your prospects access to you for a lower cost compared to hiring you personally one-of-a-kind.

Let’s look at exactly what Mary’s funnel would look like:

Free E Zine
Workbook ($49)
Teleseminar ($ 7-9 )
2-CD sound app ($97)
4-week tele-course ($249)

Take a few minutes right now and sketch out YOUR funnel. Watch where the pockets are, and begin thinking in what products you can include to make it much easier for the prospects to sample your own expertise and buy from you.
